If it’s just a peaceful paddle you desire we recommend the Scott Tripper canoe. This 16’ model is perfect for a casual afternoon paddle or an extended wilderness outing. It is a stable, secure, high volume canoe with excellent paddling performance even when heavily loaded.
For the big lakes around Jasper and west central Alberta we recommend the 18’ Albany or the 21’ Hudson Bay. Both freighter canoes offer exceptional stability along with huge carrying capacity. These boats will hold upwards of 700kg and can be customized in a varied of colors to suite your individual tastes.
Going hunting? Why not use a duck boat. A class of specialized boat in a league of their own. Unique stabilizing chines which protrude at the waterline make duck boats so stable that your retriever can climb on board directly from the water barely altering the boats position. Duck boats make excellent fishing boats that can either be trailered or cartopped. A more stable boat you’re not going to find.
